Seoul Museum of Craft Art
Jongno-gu, Seoul • Culture
Seoul Craft Museum, the first craft specialty museum in Korea, opened in 2021 on the former site of Poongmun Girls' High School in Anguk-dong. With seven buildings, including a traditional Korean house (hanok), interconnected, first-time visitors might find it confusing to decide where to start. The first place to go is the Information Center, which is encased in glass and shines brightly. Here, you can pick up a pamphlet and store your bags in the lockers conveniently. The museum also has a nursing room, a cafe, and a shop where you can buy cultural products suitable for each season. The museum buildings are architecturally beautiful, prompting spontaneous photo sessions. It houses crafts from all periods and areas, making it a must-visit free museum when in the vicinity of Anguk. There are also many restaurants and cafes around the Seoul Craft Museum. Grab a bite of a bagel at Onion Anguk or London Bagel Museum and go!
