Gongpyeong Historic Sites Museum in the heart of Jongno, Seoul, hides a secret space underground in the Centro Polis building, where you can travel back in time to the Joseon dynasty. During the Gongpyeong Urban Environment Improvement Project in 2015, the alleys and foundations of old Seoul were 'completely' excavated, spanning four different cultural layers from the Joseon dynasty to the Japanese colonial period, uncovering roads, buildings, and over a thousand various artifacts, making preservation imperative. Location: Basement 1, Centro Polis building, 26 Ujeongguk-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Hours: 09:00 - 18:00 (Closed on Mondays). Admission: Free. *The special exhibitions change periodically.
