The sad love of Chamorro lovers enshrined at Two Lover’s Point. During the Spanish colonial period, a Spanish officer fell in love with a Chamorro woman and forced her into marriage, but she, having already her own beloved, fled with her lover. Eventually, when facing capture, they vowed their eternal love by tying their hair together and jumping off from the Lover's Cliff. The view from Lover’s Cliff is distinctly different when seen from the front compared to the view from the 368-foot-high observation deck, offering an unobstructed view of the beautiful Tumon Bay and the open sea.
