Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport
Guam, United States • Travel
The name of the airport was changed in 1989 to honor Antonio Borja Won Pat (190ja Won Pat, 1908-1987), a Guam politician. Located approximately 15 minutes from downtown Tumon, a taxi ride from Tumon hotels to the airport costs about $20-30. The airport is not very large and there is no need to go there unnecessarily early as the duty-free shop is small. Souvenirs such as banana chips and chocolates sold at the duty-free shop are about 1.5-2 times more expensive than in city markets, so it is recommended to prepare in advance. As it is a U.S. territory, the exit customs checks are stringent, requiring even shoes to be removed. It is worth noting that the speed of service or system efficiency during entry and exit is not as quick or well-established as in Korea. Address: 355 Chalan Pasaheru B224-A, Tamuning, 96913 Guam (based on Google Maps).
