Travertine Coffee
Yongsan Station, Seoul • Cafe
It's fortunate that there are still low-rise buildings in Seoul, one of the best aspects of living in Jeju Island was that most cafes were housed in low-rise buildings. However, upon returning to Seoul and exploring cafes, the lack of independent, low-rise cafe spaces is disappointing. Most are situated in buildings or above the ground floor, and it's relatively rare to find a café that occupies an entire building for itself. While capturing the interior space is not a problem, maintaining consistency in my feed's exterior shots is challenging. I've somewhat given up, but I still save every low-rise cafe I come across. 'Travertine' cafe near Yongsan Station is one such place, occupying an entire low-rise building. I arrived at 12:00 PM on a weekday, knowing it opens then, but on my way there, I discovered that it opens at 11:00 AM on weekends, which made me worry about it being crowded. Fortunately, there was only one other group when I arrived, and they left shortly after, giving me the chance to enjoy my coffee and take photos leisurely. - Enjoy the leisure!
