우동
Tokyo, Japan • Restaurant
Exiting Ikkebukuro Station via Exit C6, you'll find a udon noodle shop with a remarkably minimalist sign, aptly named 'Simple Udon'. Surprisingly, this place doesn't show up on Google Maps, so I had to find it through live view and manually add it. Just as Koreans have ramen, for Japanese, udon holds a special place. Here, you won't find tourists; only locals stopping by to grab breakfast during the rush hour. The prices are incredibly reasonable. When I ordered a Donburi Udon set, I was expecting a smaller serving of udon, but was pleasantly surprised by a hefty portion. This was all for just 7,400 KRW for the set. While touring Japan, it's nice to visit well-known spots, but I also want to share places frequently visited by locals.
