Celebrities line up to eat meat pies at Ginger Bear Pie, a pie shop run by baking YouTuber 'Daram Table' located in Songridan-gil, famous as 'Pepper's' second gluten-free dessert shop space. The shop, which has become even more famous thanks to visits by celebrities such as Song Min-ho and Lee Je-hoon, is the hottest place in Songridan-gil these days with its faint lighting and vintage European feel. Upon seeing the displayed pies, it was hard to resist buying all of them, but I managed to only purchase three. The Classic Meat Pie contains generously filled beef marinated in rib seasoning and cheddar cheese. If eaten in the shop, there is also a set menu that includes mashed potatoes. The basic meat pie had a somewhat Somssa? feel to it, reminiscent of Central Asian traditional meat bread. The Mac and Cheese & Ragu pie blends thick mac n’ cheese with beef ragu sauce, where personally, a bit more ragu sauce would have been preferred. The Pulled Pork Pie combines long oven-cooked tender pulled pork with blueberry compote for a sweet and salty flavor. Unlike just having pulled pork burgers, this crispy pie paired really well. The shop offered both meat and dessert pies, and despite initially thinking the prices were a bit high for the size, the meat pies were filling enough for a meal. Meat pies are available at 12 PM and 6 PM, and visiting around 7-8 PM, there were some sold-out items but were able to purchase a variety without waiting. I also packed a few more as gifts for acquaintances, and they were still delicious when reheated the next day.
