A newly reinterpreted space by Starbucks in an old theater that is 60 years old
In the bustling and laughter-filled alleyway near Kyungdong Market in Jegi-dong, Seoul, is the cafe 'Starbucks Kyungdong1960'. This place, impressively revitalized from a space that remained as an abandoned theater built in the 1960s and infused with modern elements, offers a feeling as if you're actually in a theater.
The main entrance retains the look of a theater, and every corner of the space captures your attention with stair-like arranged tables and seats, a ceiling decorated with artwork, a beverage completion signal resembling movie credits transformed into a projector, and interior made of wooden structures.
Not only that, but the entrance of the store exhibits the first black and white TV, refrigerator, and washing machine introduced by LG's precursor, Geumseong, after its founding in 1958, providing fun to explore.
You can truly meet and enjoy the look and atmosphere of Starbucks that you've never experienced before. It is highly recommended to visit with friends, lovers, or family.
