The Kyoto branch of Hikinikutokome has not been open for long, but it's already very busy due to its fame as a popular eatery in Tokyo. There is usually a wait of about 30 minutes to 1 hour, but you can reserve in advance for your preferred timeslot. This makes meal times a bit easier if you visit around lunchtime and book for dinner. The hamburg steaks are cooked to order, and the rice, which changes regularly depending on the source, is as delicious as the meat (to the point where it feels more like a rice than a meat restaurant). Each person can have one egg for free, which you can mix with your rice, eat the yolk separately, or use as a sauce for the meat according to your preference.
