An Architectural Play Introducing Contemporary Art: Space K Seoul. Located in Magok, Gangseo-gu, Seoul. Operated by Kolon, Space K is an art space where curves and straight lines intersect, showing architectural playfulness among Magok's experimental architectures, quietly presenting Korean contemporary artists and artists from around the world. Inside, the high ceiling and neat space composition are impressive. Optimized for art appreciation in a 'White Cube' format, it consists of two floors; the first floor has a café, an art shop, and an exhibition space, while the second floor houses offices, a video room, and windows overlooking the first floor. An ongoing exhibition features artist Ye Yeran, who is silently walking the path of Korea's abstract art world. Her energetic works, highlighted by free strokes and thick paint properties, create immersion by contrasting with the space. Viewing the artist's interview video on the second floor (the conference room is opened as a video room on ordinary days) deepens the understanding of her works. The current exhibition, themed <Road to Purple>, showcases the artist's journey back to purple, reflecting her artistic life. It's recommended to experience how her free artistic world blends with Space K's contemporary architectural space. Also, enjoy a cup of coffee at the rooftop relaxation space while admiring the scenery of Magok.
