AC Hotel Seoul Gangnam
Gangnam-gu, Seoul • Hotel
I've been busily working on secret projects, and recently spent a few days bedridden. After receiving a prescription for my condition, I suddenly thought of the similarity between HOTELS and HOSPITALS: both offer meals, accommodations, and have different levels of rooms depending on the price. Without medical procedures, hotels share a context with hospitals as places for healing the weary soul. Seeking healing, I started looking for a hotel. I found myself drawn again to the AC Hotel in Yeoksamdong for several reasons. First, the massage chair room - perfect for unwinding all day. Known as the Manhattan of Yeoksam, enjoying the unique view while relaxing in a massage chair is unbeatable. After melting away the knots in my muscles, I headed to the basement sauna to dissolve all fatigue. This is why I came back. Finding a sauna in a downtown Seoul hotel at this price range is rare, especially one that is spacious with two baths and a dry sauna. Location is unbeatable, with valet parking, and just a 3-minute walk from Yeoksam station. Surrounded by great dining options, there's no need to venture far. My top coffee suggestion nearby is 'Le Rozier', just a four-minute walk away, for their hand-dripped coffee. Plus, the hotel offers Chromecast for endless OTT services like YouTube, Tving, and Netflix, transforming the room into a cinema. The AC Hotel, at around 200,000 won, is the ideal place for a restful staycation focused on relaxation without excessively luxuriating. AC Hotel charms with a casual and comfortable atmosphere. Price: 200,000-300,000 won. Room: Premier Double with Massage Chair. Features: Noteworthy sauna. Parking: Valet, for a fee.
