Temple Street Night Market in Yau Ma Tei is also known as Miogashi Market (廟家市場) in Chinese, meaning 'market by the temple,' named due to the nearby Tin Hau Temple. Tin Hau is the goddess of the sea. Originally, it started as a market selling men's goods in contrast to the Ladies' Market, which specializes in women's products.
