A beer museum where you can learn about the history of Sapporo beer. Especially, you can taste a beer tasting set that can only be found in Hokkaido. The museum offers both a charged tour and a free self-guided tour, with the former requiring a reservation or purchase on-site. If you want to hear about the history, you can reserve a tour; however, I opted not to and instead freely explored the museum and enjoyed beer tasting. There is a lamb Genghis Khan restaurant next to the museum, representing Hokkaido's signature dish, which is great to visit together. Genghis Khan restaurants in downtown Sapporo are often crowded due to the small space, but the Sapporo Beer Museum's Sapporo Beer Garden has more space and better ventilation, making it a nice place to visit with family.
