The Starbucks 'Kyungdong 1960' store opened after remodeling the Kyungdong Theater, built in the 1960s. Originally an unused old theater, it has been transformed into a new space through the Starbucks 'Kyungdong 1960' store. The store has a total area of over 300 square meters and is equipped with about 200 seats on the 3rd and 4th floors of the Kyungdong Market main building. Especially at the entrance, the store has been set up in collaboration with LG Electronics' predecessor, Geumseong Broadcasting Company, to 'reinterpret the old space in a modern way' while maintaining the old theater's originality as much as possible. A large artwork is installed at the top of the stage reminiscent of the theater stage, and the store offers spectacles where local artists' cultural and performance arts can be regularly enjoyed. For every item sold at the 'Kyungdong 1960' store, 300 KRW is saved to contribute to the Kyungdong Market Mutual Aid Fund.
