Darling Quarter

A huge public playground. Walking towards ICC from Darling Harbour, a bit of noisy and joyful laughter beckons. The formal name of this extended public playground (?) up to the Chinese Garden is Darling Quarter. Creative play facilities that both adults and children will enjoy are available, along with cafes and benches here and there. All facilities here are free. There are water playgrounds where you can learn the principle of pumps while splashing water, sand playgrounds where you can roll around in the sand and build sandcastles, and even giant slides and rope activities. The laughter of children, mingled with the relaxed atmosphere, turns this space into a place where you can let go of the travel tension and return to childhood innocence. Initially started as a playground for children, it has recently evolved into a giant playground for people of all ages. With events and workshops unfolding every weekend, and new dining spots joining in, it has established itself as Sydney's new attraction. Do not miss the 'Night Owls' children's outdoor film festival that takes place on summer nights.
