The Museum of Popular Music located on the 5th floor of Lotte World Mall is more akin to a cafe rather than a museum, serving as a haven amidst the bustling world with continual background music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. The space features large bar-like tables and individual tables like those found in regular cafes. However, the bar tables are open to the department store passage, making it challenging to quietly enjoy the music due to the need to mix the sounds of the department store, treated as ASMR, with the background music. Although there are plenty of LPs and tapes on display, it's disappointing that one cannot browse or listen to them individually like in a museum. Yet, sitting quietly and listening often leads to the emergence of nostalgic songs that can spark conversations and reminisce with friends. The beverages are satisfactory and there's a wide selection of desserts, making it a fun place to visit if you're at Lotte World Mall.
