On the way back to our accommodation, we stumbled upon the Haenyeo Museum, an establishment dedicated to the hardworking female divers of Jeju Island. The museum showcases the unique culture and spirit of these incredible women, who dive into the ocean without oxygen tanks, harvesting seafood by hand. It features various exhibits, including traditional diving suits, tools, and multimedia presentations that bring the haenyeo’s daily lives and challenges into focus.
