Kau Kee Food Cafe
Central and Western District, Hong Kong Island • Restaurant
Kau Kee Restaurant, known as the favorite spot of superstar Andy Lau in the Chinese-speaking world, is a beef noodle shop that wins the hearts of both locals and travelers with its noodles alone, without leaning on the fame of stars. Waiting is standard, but shared seating and fast turnover mean you don't have to wait too long. When ordering noodles, one must choose the thickness of the noodles, ingredients, and toppings. Koreans prefer 'Fried Beef Tenderloin Noodles.' Trying 'Curry Noodles,' a combination of curry and beef, is also worth a shot. The history of the restaurant is displayed on the stairs to the second floor, and menus in English and Korean are available at the tables.
