Fukutaro Main Store
Osaka Prefecture, Japan • Restaurant
Went to Fuku-Taro, the second-ranked okonomiyaki shop in Osaka after a failed attempt to dine at the number one place, Jibundoki. Despite the wait, I was able to enter immediately as I was alone. This place is always bustling due to its popularity not only in Japan but also in Korea, and its great accessibility. The okonomiyaki tasted delicious, although the slightly undercooked flour sensation which I personally dislike was nearly absent. Initially, there was a slight smell of pork, but it was fine afterward. During the meal, the smell of butter made me impulsively order a shrimp butter grill, which was truly delicious and memorable. The lady owner was extremely kind and had an excellent sense of anticipating the customers' needs before they even asked, showing her expertise. There are reasons for its popularity, from the service to the flavor, making it a place I can confidently recommend to anyone! Remember to go inside and write your name on the register if you're waiting, so you don't miss out.
