Legendary Chinese restaurant since 1925! 🥰 While walking around recently, for some reason, I really wanted to eat authentic Chinese food. And coincidentally, I've been seeing this restaurant, @ekaria.resto 🤩, a lot on my timeline. Entering the restaurant, you can really feel the legendary vibes, especially from the interior. The paintings on display are also very historic, with explanations about the restaurant's beginnings in 1925. It's really cool and nostalgic… 🥹 The menu item that particularly made me drool because I kept seeing it on my timeline was the Fried Pigeon and Sweet Rice. Are you curious too? Ahahahaha The Pigeon lived up to expectations, its skin crispy, the seasoning seeped in, and the meat super savory! The seasoning is like fried in butter, so delicious.. Eating it with this rice is literally comfort food. And the second special menu, the Sweet Rice! Guess what it tastes like? Well, sweet! Hahaha so basically, this is sweet sticky rice, poured with almond sauce. Guys, you have to try it. It's like one of the most unique and delicious desserts I've ever eaten. The sauce comes in two types, there's savory & plain almond sauce, and creamy sweet vanilla custard. Mixing both makes it very delicious, it feels like eating a nostalgic dessert, really. Other items we ordered include Corn Soup with Chicken Egg and Sweet and Sour Fish. This menu will never go wrong, definitely delicious. 👌🏽 By the way, @ekaria.resto has two outlets, in Central Jakarta and BSD. I want to eat at the BSD outlet sometime, it's near my house~ 📍Jl.
