Palace Fesol
Valencia, Spain • Restaurant
In Valencia, for paella, Paella Valenciana at Palace Fesol is the choice. A paella specialty restaurant that has been operating for 100 years over four generations. My first impression was that it is situated near Colon station, close to the shopping area, making it accessible for tourists. The entrance might seem small, but upon entering, you're greeted by a tavern space where you can enjoy a glass of wine and some tapas amidst old photographs showing the passage of time. Moving further inside to the dining area, a large hall unfolds with decorative ceramic tiles depicting the process of making paella, affirming its specialty in paella! The most popular menu item is the Paella Valenciana. Despite being a rice dish specialist, they also offer seafood paella, vegetarian paella, and main courses of fish and meat.

Paella is traditionally a lunch dish in Spain, so this place is only open for lunch from Monday to Sunday, 13:00 to 16:00. It's almost free from tourists and is considered a nice place for locals to entertain.
*Note: Be aware that bread served before the meal by wandering waiters might be added to the bill even if not ordered.
