When spring comes to Paris, I always make it a point to visit the Paris Botanical Garden (I don't go at all in other seasons.). It has various spring flowers, and most importantly, a very, very, very! large double cherry blossom tree. It's a place where you can often witness lovely scenes under the drooping branches of the double cherry blossoms. Honestly, I think it's less attractive in other seasons...! Entrance to the garden is free, but there's a separate admission fee for the zoo, museums, etc. located within. Since it's not too difficult to walk to Île Saint-Louis or Place des Vosges, it would be a good idea to plan a light stroll through the garden before moving on to the Marais district or visiting Île de la Cité/Île Saint-Louis as part of your travel itinerary.
