Mugeo Burger, 2019, The First Penguin

Mugeo Burger is another project of The First Penguin, which designed the space of Cafe Jinjungjeong Terminus introduced previously. The approach to the building is not through a single main entrance but involves stepping on volcanic stones laid on the ground and walking along stone walls and concrete barriers.

Once inside, you can see a long ceiling pierced through, with a glass roof filled with water above. The waves created by the wind and the scattering of light fill the first floor space. Sitting on the first floor, you can see the landscaping placed between the low windows, the wall, and the building.

Going up to the second floor, there are strip windows on all sides of the building, allowing for the appreciation of the sea and coastal roads while spending time in the building. There is also a central courtyard that can be accessed, with space to sit and directly view the water contained in the skylight.

Mugeo Burger has the slogan, "We make burgers close to nature." There are three types of burgers: carrot, spinach, and garlic, with the carrot and spinach burgers being the most popular.

Unlike other fast-food outlets that employ warm colors and hard chairs and spaces finished with tiles for a quick turnover of customers, Mugeo Burger offers a different ambiance. The cubic mass located on the coast of Jeju Island and the scenery of Jeju viewed from within show the building's design matching the brand's slogan.
