When you go downtown, there seems to be a Starbucks in every building. Although it has become so close to our daily lives that it feels common rather than familiar, there are hidden stores all over Seoul that are unique enough to be proud of the world. We introduce seven stores, ranging from the world's first title to a Starbucks floating on the Han River. (*This is content created voluntarily without compensation)
Starbucks
A new Starbucks branch where you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset of Bukhansan Mountain has opened. This place, equipped with a large second-floor hall and a rooftop observatory, has been named 'The Bukhansan,' indicating its premium status. It is located next to the Bukhansan Fortress Market, anticipating visits not only from citizens but also from hikers. Currently, there are water bottles for sale exclusive to the Bukhansan branch, and customers spending over 30,000 won will receive a limited edition key ring as a gift. Additionally, upon purchasing merchandise, you can take a photo with the barrista bear on the second floor.
Starbucks Gyeongdong 1960 Branch
“The future of Korean Starbucks found in the breath of the past” With the launch of SCK Company, E-Mart now has full control over Starbucks Korea. Their recent opening early this year stands out, especially given their expansion of unique stores worldwide. Unlike the bustling Kyungdong Market, the once abandoned Kyungdong Theater has been chosen by Starbucks. Instead of completely transforming this space, which seems frozen in time, Starbucks opted to breathe life into it while preserving its historical essence. They crafted seats out of the former audience area, transformed the screen area into a display, and, instead of calling out customer numbers, projected them on the wall with a projector reminiscent of old projectors. The entrance retains the original theater's grandeur, leaving an impression of majesty and profundity that is still vivid in writing. Starbucks has shown various experiments with their stores over the years, but this large-scale and upcycling-like endeavor seems to be a first. It’s exciting to think that Korea could have its own internationally sought-after Starbucks, similar to those in Japan, something previously unimagined.
Starbucks Reserve
“The flagship Starbucks that shook Korea”
It's one of the reserve stores that I'm used to and spent a bit of effort on, but
Even when it was opened, a limited edition commemorative card was issued.
A place that shook Korea.
The last flagship Starbucks introduced in Korea,
Starbucks The Jongno is located on the 1st and 2nd floors of Jongno Tower.
It still holds its place in good standing.

Starbucks located at Famie Station in Express Bus Terminal
This is a high-profile store to commemorate the 15th anniversary of Starbucks in Korea and its 800th store.
Starbucks Korea, which gained autonomy from the US headquarters,
As I have introduced several times before, various attempts have been made,
The Famie Park R branch is the starting point for such attempts.
Even though it opened in 2014, the overwhelming space production is still impressive.
It is also thanks to the parent company,
Shinsegae has the right to operate the Central City Terminal
I also have the right to operate Famiest Station.
It seems that a lot of consideration was given to the selection and direction of the space.
As an aside, the dome ceiling and pigeons that come to mind here are
It is not the inside of the store, but the sculpture in the lobby next to the entrance.

Starbucks
“Never ignore Starbucks again” Between Banpo Bridge and Hannam Bridge, floating in the Han River is Starbucks. 🤷♀️ In Euljiro, the CU of the cafe world in every building? 🙎♂️ Yes, that cafe is very common. 🤷♀️ You say you don't go because the beans taste burnt? 🙎♂️ Ah… But I have to go. The sun shines in different colors from all directions, day or night, but the Yoon Seul through the glass is as bright and pretty as the lights. How can I not go there? After all, the menu was an Americano that you can eat anywhere, but it's raw and delicious, and that's not what's important... I will never ignore Starbucks again... 🙇♂️

#InomDishware_Jung-gu #InomDishware_Cafe "Never ignore Starbucks again, the second" There are only two cases that come to mind when a Korean company obtained a license for a foreign brand and made it a huge success. Baskin Robbins, brought in by SPC, has not only ranked first in market share, but is also exporting overseas with outstanding product development. We have secured enough autonomy to try as a 'world's first'. It is noteworthy that Starbucks Korea is trying something new in its stores these days👀 The Busan X the Sky branch, where you pay an entrance fee for the first time in the world, has a view from the 99th floor, and the Wave Art Center branch, which is floating on the Han River, can be seen in all directions. It created a completely different atmosphere from the regular store under the sunlight☀️ And the most recently opened Byeol Dabang store is the first in the world to have one wall as a display art wall and catch your attention as soon as you enter. 🙋♂️ “Hello, this is Byeol Coffee.” 🙋♀️ It’s unusual to think of the staff’s greetings saying ‘Byul-dabang’ rather than Starbucks. applied the name to the entire store, as if responding to customer calls, and the name of the blended beans sold only at branches is also called 'Byeoldabang Blend', and it is said that it is also the first in the world to give the name of a coffee bean in its own language. Would this be enough for a reasonable soup?🤷♂️ I will never ignore Starbucks again.
Starbucks Mangwon Hangang Park
“Second Starbucks on the Han River”
More autonomy than any other country
Starbucks in Korea has often opened unusual stores,
I have also introduced a few places on this account.
I haven't visited the 99-story Exodus Sky store in Busan yet.
In addition to the Daejeon Shinsegae store on the 38th floor, the world's first and second tallest stores are
Being in Korea is more important than what we feel in our daily life.
That's even more surprising.

Last summer, to a unique Starbucks store
I once introduced the Seoul Wave Art Center branch in Jamwon-dong.
Starbucks floating near Jamwon Hangang Park
I see all the scenery from east to west,
It is an attractive shipboard cafe where the sunset over the Han River stretches as it is.
I thought this unique Starbucks would end up as a privilege on the Gangnam side.
In November of last year, a second onboard Starbucks was built in Mangwon Hangang Park.
Mangwon Hangang Park is one of the best places to see the sunset.
You can see a more mellow sunset than Jamwon-dong,
There is a barbecue restaurant and convenience store on the first floor, so you can enjoy Hangang Ramen and the sunset at the same time.

As a side note, Starbucks Korea until last year
Starbucks headquarters and E-Mart have been operated with half and half shares.
However, at the end of last year, when the Starbucks headquarters sold all of its shares,
Starting this year, Starbucks Korea will be operated under the full control of E-Mart.
The word 'control' may sound limited, but
The challenging aspects of Starbucks that have been tried in Korea so far are
Considering that it is due to the breath of Shinsegae
Starbucks' E-Mart system is expected to move forward.
Another Han River Park Starbucks
Let's look forward to the flagship Starbucks that the world is paying attention to.
