the original form of things
_
Tadao Ando, who designed the Bontae Museum, is a Japanese-born modern master architect, and a person who led the public by using an exposed concrete method that even non-majors can understand. Emphasize the harmony between your architecture and the surrounding nature. In particular, it is highly praised for providing a different experience to people using this space by using inefficient movement lines.
_
The museum consists of two spaces with a triangular and long square yard that meet at different heights to achieve spatial harmony without disturbing the nature of the sloping site. The two L-shaped volumes have a sense of homogeneity, but meet with a difference in tiers to create a variety of spatial and impressions. Along the alleys made of walls and ramps made of traditional Korean construction methods and designs next to exposed concrete, you will come across a long and narrow water garden. At this time, you can experience various experiences of discovering a long water garden that appears while following a view that is closed by a wall. It shows architecture close to nature by harmonizing open and closed, light and dark, sky and water.
_
The museum consists of five exhibition halls.
1 The exhibition room is a Korean traditional craft room.
2 The exhibition room is a contemporary art room, and works by modern and contemporary artists including Nam June Paik.
3 Exhibition Room: Yayoi Kusama Exhibition Room
4 The exhibition room is a traditional sangrye room
Exhibition Room 5 is composed of the Buddhist Special Exhibition Room and the James Turrell Audition Room.

to focus on the original form,
It would be the best way to be in harmony with nature. It is hoped that the idea of being together without damaging anything is applied to the relationship of modern society. Each of us lives a busy life, and we live in a world where individuals matter. As time goes by, the relationship becomes stronger. Being together for yourself and caring for a relationship is the most natural way to live in the world we live in with a little warm color. That is why we are born as human beings and live in society.
Please make a warm harmony.

Jeju Glass House
[Seopjikoji Glass House]
_
Seopjikoji, a narrow land that stretches toward the sea
Seopjikoji is a dialect of Jeju Island, meaning narrow, and 'seopji' is a geographical term and refers to land that stretches sharply in the shape of a beak toward the sea. From the name, it seems that you can feel the beauty of nature.
After starting from the entrance of Seopjikoji and walking for about 20 minutes enjoying the natural scenery, you will find the Glass House located at the end of it. Indeed, while climbing this road, the passage of time is forgotten for a moment.
This building was designed by architect Tadao Ando.
Tadao Ando values the harmony between exposed concrete and nature. That is why the Glass House can also find its characteristics. First of all, it feels like looking at a restrained modern sculpture rather than the perception that it is a simple building. Second, exposed concrete was used. The long exposed concrete wall does not express the entrance, and the first floor floor is designed 3.6m lower than the hill to emphasize the closedness so that the interior of the building cannot be judged. became It is designed with all-glass, and when you see the open sea and the building you feel while following the blocked wall, the sense of openness is truly amazing. This is also one of the characteristics of the movement design that Ando places importance on. Lastly, it is a shape that emphasizes harmony with nature.
It is said that Ando said this when designing this building. “I will keep the sunshine of Jeju as it is. We will embrace the sea of Jeju as it is. Finding the unity of human, nature, and space - such architecture is a wonderful architecture. Seopjikoji is a very attractive land.” In fact, the Glass House is in the shape of with arms outstretched toward the east on Seopjikoji Hill.
_
When I first visited this place, I was amazed at the scale. The simplicity of the building gave it a sense of heaviness, and it was felt that the boring colors and shapes were for nature. It seemed that he did not want to take away the presence of the wide sea, the wind blowing over Seopjikoji, and the warm sunlight. Indeed, the desire to embrace nature was felt from the building. What is a well-built building?
I think the design for the place is the best design. The glass house built here should not go anywhere else. Design should be done only for the place and the nature there, and I think it is a good design if it harmonizes with each other and makes each other shine.

Leeum Museum of Art
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ [Ask about the essence of human beings and announce their new start_Leum] 60-16 Itaewon-ro 55-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul After a long time, Leeum, the best private art museum in Korea, has returned to the side of From the logo (BI) and homepage to the interior display composition, the exhibition is divided into permanent (M1, M2) exhibitions and special exhibitions. It is said that designer Jung Gu-ho was in charge of art direction for this reopening. By changing the location of the lobby and art shop, the sense of openness of the common area was expanded and features were added. In particular, the detail in the art shop is truly amazing. The products shine even more in the format of Korean architecture. Moments of realizing that this was also part of the exhibition continued. In the permanent exhibition M2, the collections were organized under the titles of <Black Blank>, <Reverse Gravity>, and <Imaginary Planet> by floor. It was an appropriate composition for the artist's world of work and the characteristics of the work. In particular, if you look at various works of art about black in <Black Blank>, you cannot stop exclaiming. Under the theme of <Human: Seven Questions>, the special exhibition asks questions about the existence of individuals and humans that are more and more revived in the Corona situation. Starting with Giacometti's work standing at the entrance, it constantly raises questions about the meaning of human existence. Although it was an overview with a lot of talk and trouble, it was really nice and enjoyable to see Leeum's re-appearance, which raised questions about the origins of human beings and brought me a lot to feel. As this is a really well-organized opening exhibition, I hope you have plenty of time to visit. We recommend that you leave about 3 hours to view. Reservations for each exhibition open at 12 noon 15 days in advance, so please check the schedule and make a reservation at 12 p.m. [Information] Venue: Leeum Museum of Art Address: 60-16, Itaewon-ro 55-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul Hours of Operation: Closed on New Year's Day, Lunar New Year's Day, Chuseok, and every Monday Reservation open at 00:00 15 days prior to the exhibition date Opening hours: 10:00-18:00 🐔🐔🐔🐔🐣(4.5) #Electrostatic #threerooster #Leeum #Leeum #museum #Insighttrip #Daytrip #art #artexhibition #leeeum #Hannamdong #Art Museum #Art Museum Tour #instagram #design #exhibition #architecture #interior

Louis Vuitton Objet Nomad Exhibition
_
The Louis Vuitton Objet Nomad Collection, which was first unveiled during the Design Miami period, which started for 10 years from 2012, was held at “Songeun” in Gangnam, Korea.
The collection was created by reinterpreting the brand's philosophy, 'Art of Travel', which has been followed for over 160 years by the best designers of the time. Maximizing boundless passion is the characteristic of the collection.
The Louis Vuitton design furniture exhibition is very meaningful as Herzog & de Meuron's first project in Korea, 'Songeun', is establishing itself as a landmark on Dosan-daero, Gangnam, a street where time passes quickly.
This is a good opportunity to get a glimpse of Louis Vuitton's travel philosophy, changing trends, and life in modern society. Although it is a short-lived exhibition, it is definitely worth a visit.
It is difficult to make a reservation online, but if you wait on site, you can go in and watch the show without waiting as long as you think.

Frank Gehry
Louis Vuitton Maison Seoul
[Frank Gehry's first Korean work, Louis Vuitton Maison Seoul]
⠀
Located in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul.
⠀
The Louis Vuitton flagship store located on the luxury street in Cheongdam, opened less than three months ago. It drew attention as the first Frank Gehry building in Korea, and also draws attention with its organic and free-spirited design. However, it is very unfortunate that the most important façade is covered by the tree in front of it. The inside is a luxury hall itself. Marble is rampant and even the stair railings are finished in leather, so even the smallest detail is taken care of. Floors, walls, ceilings, various products and accessories, furniture, lighting, etc... All of them have their own unique colors, but the sense of color that harmonizes with each other is admirable. It is unique but not clumsy, and it is honest but not boring. Of course, this is only the case with the unique curtain wall that appears occasionally, and the internal structure itself is a simple square shape, and it is a thoroughly practical space divided into a core (EV, stairs, etc.) and a room on each floor. The main character is not a building, but a product for sale anyway, so it is a space for shopping. It is a luxurious building that looks gorgeous on the outside but is faithful to the basics on the inside.

Bangju Church
Can the ark survive natural disasters? - '*Noah built a boat according to God's command, and loaded his family and seven clean male and female animals, one male and female unclean animal, and seven male and female birds to escape the flood. [*Genesis Quotation]' This is a famous story. This is a story that both Christians and non-Christians have heard of. The story of Noah's Ark, a great flood to punish fallen mankind, and a special revelation was given only to 'Noah', who lived a good life, to build an ark so that he could survive with various animals. Under the broad framework of 'Kwon Seon-Jing-Ak', this story has been loved by many people regardless of religion. - However, the author is most interested in the 'ark' in this story. The ark was said to be 135 m long, 50 m wide and 13.5 m high. Its size is recorded in Genesis 6:14-16. So, if you consider this with the space of modern society, you can think of it as a flat flat apartment of about 40 stories lying on the ground. Looking at the painting 'Noah's Ark' by the American folk artist 'Ed Wood Higgs', I drew an image of the ark according to the scale, and it looked interesting. It consists of three stories, and a long gable roof is mounted on the ship. And several pairs of animals lined up on the boat. The windows are quite small for their size. Since it is a great flood, it seems that they were trying to minimize the places where water could seep in, and to create a minimum ventilation and light environment. If there is one thing that stands out in particular, the four windows on the upper level of the front part are drilled into the positions of the ends of the crosses. Judging from the location of this window, it can be hypothesized that the interior is structured like a chapel rather than having rooms and hallways. - And that hypothesis is seen in today's space. - From the name, it is the Ark Church. It's not about the scale according to the record, but the ratio and proportions can be said to have been taken from it. And the shape of the gable roof and the story of floating on water were visualized as it is. Furthermore, it can be predicted that the window placed in the front part is a chapel. Just like the painting above. - The difference is that this ark was originally composed of three floors excluding the ship, but there is only one floor above the ground. Instead, there is a basement, so I wonder if it would be right to see that part by boat. Since the scale has been reduced only by following the proportions, the interior is inevitably composed of one floor. However, the exterior of the building is finished with wood, probably because of the record that it was made of pine wood. And you can experience the way to enter by boat through the stone bridge in the garden. This space contains this sequence. - I looked around and imagined all the stories and spaces. - What if we were living in a depravity and there was an Absolute who tried to punish us? Is there any room for us to survive against the power of the Absolute? So, looking at the situation in more detail, this time, instead of a flood, if we try to punish us with natural disasters that we can't handle, such as 'mass earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, hurricanes, tornadoes, and tsunamis', there is a safe space where we can survive. will exist? - none. impossible. If we don't leave Earth, it's impossible. - But that situation, set in detail, is perhaps the story that is coming to an end. Have you not experienced it all with your body? Rather than simply calling it 'abnormal weather' and not giving as much awareness as the simple word composition. In reality, we know that awareness from experience. This is actually a very serious story. No one can solve it by doing well. If we really compare it to everyday life, 'It is a team project where about 100 freshmen freshmen at the university, each of them doing their part well, making one PPT and presenting it.' So I have no choice but to let go. Even 4 people are hard, but 100 people is actually 6 billion team play. But did you say that it was called “Mountain of Dust”? Even if 100 people diligently make one page at a time, 100 stories can be told. So, I try to do the best I can in my position. It may be important to try as hard as you can. - Isn't this symbolic space illuminating our lives now through the story that was recorded that it existed in the past [they admitted that there was no fact]? thought that - This is the #ark church, a symbolic space that asks the responsibility of mankind. - Location _ 113 Sanroknam-ro 762beon-gil, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do - Parking available - Available hours for visiting the chapel _ 09 - 17:00 - PS. The above space is operating in accordance with the Jeju Special Self-Governing City Corona Prevention Guidelines. And there is a cafe across the yard of the building. You can see the building and have a cup of coffee in a sunny place! Please note that there is no inconvenience in using the space.

Podo Hotel
'Grape Hotel' designed by architect Itami Jun with the motif of the oreum and thatched roofs of Jeju.
When viewed from a bird's eye view, it is said to be shaped like a grape, hence its name. The faint smell of grapes from the entrance of the hotel was also impressive. There is also a photo zone where you can take a picture of the rape blossoms and the grape hotel at the entrance.
The meal at the restaurant was also satisfactory, but it was a bit pricey, but considering the overall composition and atmosphere of the meal at the hotel, the taste and price were reasonable.
Even if you do not plan to stay, we recommend that you visit a tourist attraction at least once.
