The museum consists of two spaces with a triangular and long square yard that meet at different heights to achieve spatial harmony without disturbing the nature of the sloping site. The two L-shaped volumes have a sense of homogeneity, but meet with a difference in tiers to create a variety of spatial and impressions. Seopjikoji, a narrow land that stretches toward the sea
Seopjikoji is a dialect of Jeju Island, meaning narrow, and 'seopji' is a geographical term and refers to land that stretches sharply in the shape of a beak toward the sea. From the name, it seems that you can feel the beauty of nature.

After starting from the entrance of Seopjikoji and walking for about 20 minutes enjoying the natural scenery, you will find the Glass House located at the end of it. Indeed, while climbing this road, the passage of time is forgotten for a moment.

This building was designed by architect Tadao Ando.
Tadao Ando values the harmony between exposed concrete and nature. That is why the Glass House can also find its characteristics. First of all, it feels like looking at a restrained modern sculpture rather than the perception that it is a simple building. Second, exposed concrete was used. The long exposed concrete wall does not express the entrance, and the first floor floor is designed 3.6m lower than the hill to emphasize the closedness so that the interior of the building cannot be judged. became It is designed with all-glass, and when you see the open sea and the building you feel while following the blocked wall, the sense of openness is truly amazing. This is also one of the characteristics of the movement design that Ando places importance on. Lastly, it is a shape that emphasizes harmony with nature.

It is said that Ando said this when designing this building. “I will keep the sunshine of Jeju as it is. We will embrace the sea of Jeju as it is. Finding the unity of human, nature, and space - such architecture is a wonderful architecture. Seopjikoji is a very attractive land.” In fact, the Glass House is in the shape of with arms outstretched toward the east on Seopjikoji Hill.

When I first visited this place, I was amazed at the scale. The simplicity of the building gave it a sense of heaviness, and it was felt that the boring colors and shapes were for nature. The Louis Vuitton flagship store located on the luxury street in Cheongdam, opened less than three months ago. It drew attention as the first Frank Gehry building in Korea, and also draws attention with its organic and free-spirited design. However, it is very unfortunate that the most important façade is covered by the tree in front of it. The inside is a luxury hall itself. Marble is rampant and even the stair railings are finished in leather, so even the smallest detail is taken care of. Floors, walls, ceilings, various products and accessories, furniture, lighting, etc... All of them have their own unique colors, but the sense of color that harmonizes with each other is admirable. It is unique but not clumsy, and it is honest but not boring. The story of Noah's Ark, a great flood to punish fallen mankind, and a special revelation was given only to 'Noah', who lived a good life, to build an ark so that he could survive with various animals. Under the broad framework of 'Kwon Seon-Jing-Ak', this story has been loved by many people regardless of religion. - However, the author is most interested in the 'ark' in this story. The ark was said to be 135 m long, 50 m wide and 13.5 m high. Its size is recorded in Genesis 6:14-16. So, if you consider this with the space of modern society, you can think of it as a flat flat apartment of about 40 stories lying on the ground. Looking at the painting 'Noah's Ark' by the American folk artist 'Ed Wood Higgs', I drew an image of the ark according to the scale, and it looked interesting. Instead, there is a basement, so I wonder if it would be right to see that part by boat. Since the scale has been reduced only by following the proportions, the interior is inevitably composed of one floor. However, the exterior of the building is finished with wood, probably because of the record that it was made of pine wood. And you can experience the way to enter by boat through the stone bridge in the garden. This space contains this sequence. - I looked around and imagined all the stories and spaces. - What if we were living in a depravity and there was an Absolute who tried to punish us? Is there any room for us to survive against the power of the Absolute? 'Grape Hotel' designed by architect Itami Jun with the motif of the oreum and thatched roofs of Jeju.

When viewed from a bird's eye view, it is said to be shaped like a grape, hence its name. The faint smell of grapes from the entrance of the hotel was also impressive. There is also a photo zone where you can take a picture of the rape blossoms and the grape hotel at the entrance.

The meal at the restaurant was also satisfactory, but it was a bit pricey, but considering the overall composition and atmosphere of the meal at the hotel, the taste and price were reasonable.
