Chiang Mai, Thailand is a city with a lot of small prop shops and cute cafes. You can often see fairytale-like scenery with green backgrounds because there are many trees everywhere. If you decide to visit just one pretty cafe or cute prop shop along the route, it is a good place to take a leisurely trip while looking around the neighborhood. I will introduce a few of my favorite places in Chiang Mai :)
Early Owls・เออร์ลี่ อาวส์
A place with a large wooden house and a large green garden that is very attractive
There is a small lake in the garden, so it is a good place to sit and relax at a table around.
If you like grass and waterside like me, you'll be satisfied no matter where you sit!
Duck families live in the lake, so you can often meet ducks out for a walk.
Yoga classes are held in another building in the garden, and small concerts are sometimes held in the garden.
Kumo Bake Uchi
Cumo Bake
A small cafe located in an alley a little far from the city. It is so small and so pretty that the expression itself is small and precious.
'Kumo' means cloud in Japanese.
As the name suggests, there is a white and blue shop among the trees. As for the color, the color that comes to mind when you think of a cloud, the combination of white curtains and sky blue window frames blowing in the wind is a perfect match for this space.
It is a good place to visit for a simple dessert as the main dishes are pantacona and cakes.
Because the building itself is very small and the seats are narrow inside, it seems that only one or two people can visit. It is difficult to recommend more than 100%. However, if it is enough just to feel the atmosphere of this small and pretty baking shop, it is a place I would like to recommend 100%.
Baan Kang Wat
Ban Khang Wat
A complex space with small workshops, shops, and restaurants and cafes like Seoul’s Ssamzie-gil
It is the most Chiang Mai-like shopping space as there are large and small handicrafts, and it is in harmony with the grass that surrounds the space.
They have a wide variety, so you can buy souvenirs and gifts.
When I first read the comments about this place, I wasn't very intrigued, but after visiting it it has become one of my favorite places in Chiang Mai.
It's fun to browse the shops in every nook and cranny, and it's good to visit as a photo spot as it captures the beautiful atmosphere no matter what direction you take pictures.
MONDAE - Cafe & Brunch
Hidden cafe at the end of the alley
There is a feeling of welcome from the entrance of the store, and there are many cute points in every corner. There are seats on the terrace or on the roof, so you can enjoy a meal or tea outdoors while basking in the sunlight.
In addition to the delicious brunch, there are some Korean menus, and communication is easy because the menu is written in Korean.
The interior is pretty (because there is a Korean menu), but it feels like a Korean cafe, so if you want to feel the local atmosphere more, I recommend spending time in the outside garden.
Chamcha Market
Small flea market in Chiang Mai
It's not on the big side, but there are plenty of things to see and do as it opens a road between various shops, cafes, and restaurants.
There were a lot of cute little accessories such as pouches and vintage cups, and you could find handmade products that you made yourself.
A good place to take a leisurely stroll during a relatively leisurely time such as in the morning
Hours of Operation: Every Saturday and Sunday 09:00-14:30
Enough for life village
Enough for Life
It is a place where accommodation, accessory shops, and cafes are all gathered.
I ordered a cup of coffee and looked around the prop shop. If you can't see the prices of items that are on sale and items that are not for sale, it is better to check whether they are on sale or not.
Although it was sunny in Chiang Mai, it was comfortable to sit outdoors thanks to the well-shaded sunshade.
A cat wanders around in the yard, sitting comfortably on an empty chair as if it were her own, and sometimes dozing off.
It has a bit of an old-fashioned atmosphere, but that feeling goes well with the mood of Enough as it is.
There were so many props that I personally coveted the most after returning from Chiang Mai was, 'Why didn't I buy more from Enough?'
