A fabulous gelato shop, where the taste of ingredients truly lives! Located in Seochon, this is a new gelato shop opened by a disciple of the mastermind behind the famous ice cream store, The Martin. Thinking it would have reliable flavors being mentored by the master himself, I visited the place. And indeed!! It's been a while since I've thought, 'Wow, this is delicious!' while eating ice cream. The space and menu: It is located opposite the Apgujeong Hyundai Apartment, between Apgujeong and Apgujeong Rodeo. A small space with only four seats. The current menu seems to have six items, but I saw five. There might be changes with each season. You can choose two flavors in a small cup, and from three flavors, you can take out in a big tub. The menu includes butter, pistachio, choco Guinness, lemon basil, and mango. It seems like one hidden flavor might be coffee? I chose choco Guinness and pistachio. For choco Guinness, depending on your preference, you can choose a version without Guinness. However, my preference is with Guinness to the extreme. Choco Guinness and Pistachio: I felt the taste of the ingredients was truly rich. In the case of choco Guinness, Guinness enhanced the bittersweet sweetness of the chocolate. It seemed to make the flavor of the ice cream itself much more alive. However, its strength was so overpowering that if you eat it with pistachio, it could overshadow the taste of pistachio. I wonder if it would overpower other ice creams as well? The taste of pistachio felt truly full. Butter, lemon basil, and mango also made me curious about how they melted the taste of these ingredients into gelato!! With not many items on the menu, this is a place I quickly want to visit again to experience everything. A meticulous gelato store, complete with gelato for dogs, has finally opened in Seorae Village. The store emits a luxurious aura with its elegant red brick facade. Initially unclear what type of store it was, the owner explained that the logo was a cup of gelato. Surprisingly, they also sell filter coffee. When eating gelato in-store, you can choose two flavors. I ordered the slightly alcoholic yuja vodka sorbet and walnut basil.

✔️Walnut Basil / Yuja Vodka Sorbet
The walnut basil gelato occasionally surprises with chunks of walnut meat, and the basil aroma is delightful. The yuja vodka sorbet, as the name suggests, contains a hint of vodka, but the alcohol flavor isn’t overpowering. The sorbet tastes somewhat like lemon or lime, with a strong, refreshing zest.

Over ten different gelato flavors are available. Personally, I highly recommend the basil walnut! They also have gelato for dogs, which could be a nice treat for your tired pet after a walk!

Gelato, full of the natural taste and aroma of ingredients, without using sweeteners or artificial colorings, only utilizing pure natural ingredients. Despite this, there is no lack in taste or visual appearance. There are many unique menus such as mugwort + fig, cream cheese, pistachio pumpkin seed, hibiscus passion fruit, Jack Daniel’s Valrhona chocolate, etc. It makes you want to stop by often and try every menu item. What I ordered was salt butter (+super sweet corn, Maldon salt) and mugwort (+fig cream cheese). The savory butter taste with occasional salty flavors blends well with the chewy texture of the super sweet corn. The mugwort fills your mouth with its aroma, strong and rich, where the occasional bites of cream cheese and figs match perfectly. Overall, the gelato feels very well balanced with not too strong flavors, but a perfect harmony of its components!
