Kitsa Sweet Potato is a cafe located in Mullae-dong. It's on the second floor of a commercial building in an apartment complex, recommended by a friend. Upon searching, it's run by a local from Japan. Coffee and meals can be enjoyed at a Japanese-style coffee shop, named "Kissaten". Fittingly, besides coffee and drink menus, a variety of dishes are available, which would enhance your enjoyment of this space. The blend of wood tones and blue carpet, along with retro wallpaper, maximizes the unique atmosphere of Kitsa Sweet Potato. The kind reception by the owner is memorable.
The interior houses three 2-3 person tables and one shared table that can accommodate 5-6 people. The fact that such a space exists on the second floor of an apartment complex commercial building, showing signs of time, was quite surprising. It's recommended to check the operating hours before visiting, and for those who like a vintage vibe, it would be a space worth visiting at least once.

๐Menu
I ordered melon soda and pudding. The melon soda had ice cream on top, and during my visit, strawberries were used instead of cherries, which I preferred. The pudding's bowl was vintage.
๐Music
Kitsa Sweet Potato's music is painted with J-POP. While the answer is clear, there are elements worth contemplating within the boundaries of that answer. Kitsa Sweet Potato can embrace both a bright and a calm atmosphere, so the choice of music can be slightly more free. For someone, it could be a space as refreshing and cute as melon soda, and for another, it could be a space as profound as strong coffee.

The unique sentiment of Mullae Creative Village transformed an ironworks into a cafe named 'TOUTOU'. Surrounded by numerous ironworks, Mullae Creative Village now harbors a variety of shops including cafes, restaurants, and pubs, coexisting with factories and creating a unique atmosphere of the neighborhood. Located in an alley of the Creative Village, as soon as you enter, you're greeted with an enchanting scent of incense. Preserving the essence of the previously operated ironworks, it exudes a vintage yet warm vibe. Specializing in tea-based beverages, TOUTOU offers a refreshing alternative to enjoy tea as comfortably and lightly as iced Americano, blending the fragrant tea base into delightful tea-based Americanos and fruit teas, as well as coffee. The name TOUTOU, which means a leader in Chinese, chosen simply for its cool sound, leaves a memorable impression. Location: 16, Daelim-ro 125-gil, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. Operating Hours: 13:00 - 21:30.

time cube
A 3x3 cube I used to play with as a child. never once matched. I felt resentment at the injustice and stupidity of myself in the days when I struggled to match at least one side every day. When I was so young that tears welled up in my heartache, my father saw it and put it all together. Every time I saw the side by side, I was filled with joy and joy, and when it was completed, I was filled with pride in my father, who was like Superman, even if it wasn't me who did it. And I didn't touch the cube toy. I had lost interest. It was because I thought that there was no other way for me to enjoy it more because I thought it was a finished product that was all properly tailored. The reason why the cube toy was so interesting is because it was fun to see how the 'pleasant of matching' the segmented color planes was replaced with an interest that could be developed.
This space is a space in which the traces of time are not aligned in place of such color planes.
Mullae-dong talked about it for a long time. In particular, the place now called Mullae Creative Complex is an urban organization created during the Japanese colonial period. It was used as a residence for workers who made military supplies. It was a so-called 'beehive' where only the body could lie down close to each other. Of course, there were also good houses for the managerial class between the wards. The main style of this manager's house building was a Japanese-style house that adopted the Japanese style of house. And after liberation, there was a debate among Koreans about tearing down this land and not tearing it down. In the debate, as agreed by the majority, it is concluded that we should renovate it in our style and use it as a residential space. It changes from a Japanese-style house to a space that fits the Korean sentiment. To list the biggest changes, the walls are torn down to create a space inside, which is a floor and living room for families to gather. And in order to create a lack of living space, a part of the room was removed and made into a rented room. Lastly, there is an outdoor toilet for the rented room. Traces of this time can be found even now in Mullae-dong. The reason is that Mullae-dong #Lust Bakery's toilet is outdoors. After that, as Korea's industrialization progressed, the spaces used as residences were demolished and turned into metal factories. That lasts until 2013. Since 2014, poor artists who have been expelled from Hongdae and Yeonnam have filled every nook and cranny of this neighborhood, becoming what they are today.
Mullae-dong bears traces of time from the Japanese colonial period to the present. It is an urban organization that has left the external form alone and has continuously changed the internal scenes. That is why, in modern Korea, there is a special appreciation given by the urban organization of low-rise complexes, which is not easily seen in modern Korea.
In such an urban context, this space accepts the evolutionary method of the complex. Traces of the past are cut apart like the colored side of a cube for each part. The wooden structure of the ceiling at the entrance, the old bricks on the exterior wall, and fragments of old times that can be seen inside the space are embedded like cubes. The imagination that comes from this is more enjoyable than seeing a completely new building. I imagine other aspects of the space by moving pieces of that time into my head, such as 'Why did it happen like this?' Moreover, the newly created part of the new space appears throughout the space with a specific pattern like the cube. This is the case with the floor pattern and the decorative pattern on the side of the station.
This is a space where pieces of new time and pieces of past time are intertwined in three dimensions. In fact, it is necessary to put in a higher-dimensional concept. These time slices are a space containing the time axis from the past and a four-dimensional concept that allows us to imagine what will change in the future.
As soon as this space, which has fun that stimulates interest and imagination, is created, it seems that people continue to follow their footsteps. This is the power of a space that is fun to match, not a cube that has been completely matched. This is the charm of this space.

slot
A cozy and retro-themed Meat Pie Cafe named SLOT has opened in Mullae Creative Village. The seating is designed as bar tables, and what could be seen as a monotonous interior is enhanced with charming little objects. Effort is noticeable even in the take-out packaging, and they sell coffee that complements their menu of classic meat pies, banana pies, scones, and tarts.
