A small Japanese restaurant in Yeonnam-dong, famous for its Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki stacked with ingredients and Osaka-style mixed and fried Okonomiyaki, as well as enjoyable side dishes like Takoyaki and Yakisoba bread, and drinks like Highballs and beer. With a waiting time of over two hours on weekdays due to its popularity, the restaurant has a one-hour dining limit but provides a sufficiently enjoyable experience for food and drinks. A quiet atmosphere is preferred, so visiting in small groups is recommended.

It is a space located near Daeheung Station,
You can enjoy delicious coffee.

Spring usually comes after winter, but unfortunately, it seems that the fourth spring at Loire Coffee Bar Daeheung will not be possible. Loire Coffee Bar Daeheung Branch is open from June 9, 2018 until January 23.
Nevertheless, I would like to say that the reason I am writing this is because the news of the closing of the business is so disappointing and the memories of the Loire Coffee Bar Daeheung are precious.

There are times when I feel depressed while visiting cafes and spaces, when I know that I have to let go of the space I love.

There seems to be no word more mourning than the verb 'to leave'.
At any given time, when the moment comes when you have to float a precious object in the river of time and release it to another place, a corner of your heart tends to tingle. It seems that all we can do is dilute the concentration of sadness and emptiness a little.

Hidden in Hapjeong Station is a cozy Japanese-style cafe called Kisaten, offering not only coffee and desserts but also simple meals. The atmosphere of the cafe, familiar from various Japanese dramas and media, is quite pleasing. From its exterior to its interior ambiance and menu, it truly feels like you've stepped into a Kisaten in Japan. The menu includes Japanese-style pasta like Napolitan, yakisoba, as well as coffee, alcohol, and desserts. A particular reason for wanting to visit was the banana brulee pudding. Served in a vintage silver dish, the caramelized banana and pudding topped with vanilla ice cream looks utterly delicious. The ice cream, banana, and pudding are all soft, which could be considered bland, but the sweet caramel highlights the charm of each component. A menu item that captures both taste and visuals! Highly recommended! Banana Brulee Pudding 7.5, Napolitan 12.0. Daily 11:30/Weekends 13:00 - 21:00 (Closed on Tuesdays) Located at 4-13 Yanghwa-ro 7-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul.

“The Future of Korean Food Culture” As the number of single-person households continues, the media often speaks of the 'single meal' culture as a new social phenomenon. In Korean society, where learning should be eaten together, going to a dinner party becomes a social exchange, and the saying “let’s eat once” is considered a greeting, even though eating alone has become commonplace, it is still a culture that feels unfamiliar. However, until modernization in Korea, the basic culture of eating alone was the dining table for one person. Often, when we hear the word 'Korean food', we think of a sentimental image where everyone gathers and eats together, but it is said that our ancestors, who were taboo on talking while eating, were contrary to our conventional wisdom. In other words, 'Gyeomsang', which the older generation calls tradition, was actually a culture that did not have deep roots in Korea. The meaning of 'communication' is given to modern Korean food culture. Until a few years ago, 'Single-bap' was not so proud and accepted as shameful because of this notion. It is in the same vein that there were pictures of returning students eating alone, or a unique restaurant where you eat with strangers. Now, coming back, when I posted this place in the story, I mentioned 'the future of Korean food culture'. What comes to mind when you hear the word 'Gukbap Restaurant'? Tables for 2 or 4 are evenly distributed in the store, and there will be a stereotyped image of serving ladies walking around and serving hot and hearty soup. However, Okdongsik here is like a ramen restaurant, with all the bar seating surrounding the narrow cooking space. As if they had distanced themselves even before the distance, the staff responds only to what is necessary without saying anything, and silence continues only for meals in the store. A place where you can eat alone and focus on food without anyone disturbing you. There is no reason to refuse the menus if you find it difficult to see or go alone. From time to time, fast food restaurants and cafes have single seats, and recently, Jokbal restaurants and pizzerias are also making single-person menus and bar seats. Is it just because of my mood that it feels not far from the day when a one-person Korean restaurant and a one-person meat restaurant appear? The future of Korean food culture may actually lie in the self-contained culture of our ancestors.

Kaden Udon near Hapjeong Station. The cold udon and the fried toppings on it are really delicious🥰. I anticipated some crowds during lunchtime, but there was still a bit of a wait... However, the turnover rate is fast, so you can get in and eat pretty quickly. There are quite a lot of menu options, so I recommend deciding in advance👍.

A local resident recommends a Japanese Fukuoka cuisine restaurant in Hapjeong🍜 Located near Hapjeong station, 'Kyushu Bang' is a dining pub that sells regional food from Fukuoka in the Kyushu region, radiating Japanese vibes. The signature dish is the rich and savory, slightly spicy beef bone broth Motonabe, along with a variety of dishes that pair well with highballs, including sashimi and soba. Among the tasted dishes, the noteworthy ones are the Motonabe with its outstanding broth and the Japanese mackerel sashimi Komasaba, which is quite generous and delicious at a reasonable price.

From 11 am to 24 pm without a day off, the cafe, which was completed by refining the house of 'Jaeshin' in Mangwon-dong, matches the meaning of 'containing novelty'. It is divided into a brewing bar and hall on the 1st floor and a room structure on the 2nd floor and offers seasonal drip, basic drip coffee, and espresso variation menus that change by season. Various desserts such as galettes, cookies, and cakes are also made by Jaeshin himself.
