Under Canvas Mount Rushmore

we recently spent two weeks doing a road trip from chicago to san francisco and checked off a lot of our bucketlist items. first being, glamping at Under Canvas Mount Rushmore! ✨ nothing quite like being nestled up among the trees in a private tent and experiencing starry night skies and wild landscape. 🌲 it also made for an great home base to explore a lot of our other bucketlist places in south dakota from, like:

- Mount Rushmore National Monument (I had been waiting to see this place in person since I was kid! 🤩)
- Custer State Park (famous for its bison herds and scenic views of the granite spires and lakes, which were 💯)
- Needles Highway + Eye Tunnel (more unreal views and driving through the tunnel is super fun)
- Crazy Horse Memorial (world’s largest mountain carving)
- Bandlands National Park (couldn’t find any 🦖 fossils but the layers of rock formations were absolutely stunning, looked like a painting)
