Lehman Muffin Seoul - Larry Pitman Solo Exhibition <Opaque, Translucent, Shiny> 3.15-5.7
-
The Lehman Muffin Museum of Art was founded in 1996 and is based in 'New York, Hong Kong, Seoul and London'. In Seoul, they moved to Anguk-dong in 2017, but now they have moved to the former Starbucks building in Hannam-dong. Even when it was a former Starbucks building, I looked very carefully at this place. It was a space known as a cafe, but what if it was changed to another space because the aesthetic appreciation of the building was good? It used to be a place that would give you the imagination. And that dream became a reality this year. It changed from a cafe to an art museum, and was remodeled to depict the necessary space conditions. A typical white cube space. This space, which is made up of a neat circulation system and just enough stories, is prepared to be easily accessed and enjoyed by anyone in the city through small-scale exhibitions rather than large-scale exhibitions. It tells an accurate story without being burdensome. The fact that admission is also free supports that context even more strongly.
