As you enter the lobby, the skyscrapers of Tokyo that can be seen from the front, along with the high-rise design that makes you look far above your head, give you a sense of openness that cannot be found anywhere else. As it is the highest-priced hotel in Tokyo, the use of space is very bold and gives the impression of luxury. Even if you simply enjoy a cup of tea in the lounge without staying overnight, you will be able to feel firsthand how bold Aman looked at the space.
There is an Italian restaurant Alba in front of the lobby, a lounge where you can enjoy afternoon tea and bar food, and a cigar room on the side. The Cigar Room is a very impressive space, so I will introduce it in detail in the next daylog.
Aman Tokyo is the only city hotel in the Aman group. Aman resorts are usually located in unpopulated (?) resorts or resorts, whereas Aman hotels in Tokyo are located in Otemachi, the heart of Tokyo.
The suite we stayed in today is 120 square meters in size, so it's the perfect luxury for two people. Some people may feel lonely because it is so spacious. The space is very Japanese and Japanese in accordance with the concept of Aman. The artworks and various artifacts placed in the room make you feel as if you are invited to a wealthy private home rather than a hotel.
The spa is expensive, but the swimming pool is free for hotel guests. The swimming pool is designed with the same height as the lobby, so you can feel a different charm. When the sun goes down, it gives you the feeling of being invited into a poem, as if you are swimming in a hazy sea of stars.
All the amenities consistently have a strong hinoki scent. I think it's intended to target foreign guests. However, personally, I feel somewhat regretful that the scent is too artificial and mismatched with the space.
