Apgujeong Station, Seoul • Restaurant

Right in front of Apgujeong Station, 'Lee Sok Woo Hwa' is notoriously difficult to book. Fortunately, I was able to experience it as a room course for a company dinner. The room course differs from the standard course. It includes an 8-course meal featuring various dishes made with Hanwoo (Korean beef), such as tartare, sukiyaki, grilled items, and gyukatsu. The magnificent marbling and the rich, rosy hue of the beef elicited gasps of admiration all day. The impressive variety of visually stunning dishes makes it impossible not to take photos. Watching the chef skillfully trim an incredibly large prime rib right before our eyes, the portion seemed never to diminish, offering unbeatable value for money. The final stew and rice pot were also highlights. Special thanks to the chef in charge for preparing such a wonderful meal and providing service with both sense and wit.
