Douglas House
Gwangjin-gu, Seoul • Hotel
📌A place where you can have a forest vacation in downtown Seoul 🔹Room type: Douglas Suite 🔹Price: 3-40 million won 🔹Location: Achasan side in Gwangjin-gu 🔹Features: No-kids zone / Completely independent space / Full relaxation 🔹Parking: Valet / Thinking about the parking tower, I ate bitter and spicy tteokbokki at least once a week, and whenever I went somewhere, I was impatient and shouted quickly. After a while, I was busy consuming stimulating content and filling the day- - So I didn't feel like taking a break, but rather, I lived 5 days a week with a lot of stuff in my stomach- - So, perhaps, I wanted to live as fresh as the weekend. For that to happen, several conditions are necessary- - ⛰ First, you need to move away from the dense gray buildings that stand in your way. If possible, I would like to see green nature and an open river. Even if I do nothing and just stare blankly, my body and mind will be purified- - 🏢I want to stay away from very stylish and modern designs for a while. I am a designer too, but from the time I wake up in the morning until I close my eyes right before I go to bed, I have encountered too many modern and simple designs. Even this was 'urban' and gave me a headache. Even the designs I'm doing pursue modernity. I need to turn off my laptop- - 🌳I think it would be nice if it was full of the smell of the forest. I want to take a walk in the morning while smelling the fresh forest scent. Oh, and I hope there aren't too many people and I really want it to be a 'space for adults'- - 'Is there a place that meets all these conditions?' It doesn't feel like you're in the woods. It's really in the woods. It's been a while since I've felt this detox at a hotel, so I'm impressed- - 📌The Douglas House itself is great, but if you want to feel 250% more, I'd like to carefully recommend the 'Douglas Suite'. You may think that the suite you can experience at 300,000 won is expensive- - But it is not an experience that we do often, like staying at a good place for a day or so when we go on vacation abroad or on Jeju Island. It feels quite reasonable compared to the price of a suite room in a hotel of the same class, which costs between 400 and 1 million won. do-
