Unrevealed Sunset Spot Information+Tipsโ€ผ๏ธ

A location with good accessibility, less than an hour from Seoul, and even better, there are two sunset spots close to each other. Save & share and make sure to visit๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’—

๐Ÿ“Gubongdo Sunset Observatory + Ant Waist Arch Bridge
โ–ช๏ธ23, Daebubuk-dong, Danwon-gu, Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do
โ–ช๏ธSet your GPS to 'Jonghyeon Fishing Village' and youโ€™ll find the parking lot right away๐Ÿš—
โ–ช๏ธCoastal road or hiking trail / There are two paths, but the coastal road is recommended!
โ–ช๏ธDepending on the tide, the path may be submerged
(You can switch to the hiking trail halfway through!)
โ–ช๏ธOrder of visit: Parking lot~Ant Waist Bridge~Sunset Observatory / The observatory is at the end!
โ–ช๏ธWalking time from the parking lot to the Ant Waist Bridge is about 30 minutes
โ–ช๏ธWalking time from the Ant Waist Bridge to the Sunset Observatory is about 20 minutes
โ–ช๏ธDepart 1 to 1.5 hours before sunset!

๐Ÿœโ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒ…
Took joyful pictures at the beautiful stair view of the Ant Waist Bridge, but it seemed endless on the way to the Sunset Observatory!!!๐Ÿ˜‚
The sun was setting and we were in despair!!!
In the end, despite running, we reached the Sunset Observatory only to find that the sun had already set....๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿ˜‚
It takes about 15~20 minutes to walk from the Ant Waist Bridge to the Sunset Observatory, so please calculate your time wellโ€ผ๏ธ

However, another good point was that people left after the sunset?
So, we managed to take the third picture as if we had the place to ourselves๐Ÿฅฐ

On the way back, we walked through the lower path by the sea
The sunset was so beautiful here too, I was at a loss for words...๐Ÿฅนโค๏ธ
However, be careful as the path is rugged with gravel+shells๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

Entering the main hall, 'Forest Hall,' you'll start from the underground cave's land and water, half the roots of a tree, and face light and darkness as you ascend, as if wandering through a vast forest. A Yangpyeong cafe where you can taste the famous 'Beignet', a donut that became famous after appearing in the movie <American Chef>, and a specialty of New Orleans in the USA. Beignet is a French-style donut that is eaten warm, characterized by its fluffy and chewy texture with a generous sprinkling of white sugar powder. This donut, introduced by French immigrants, became famous for being sold at 'Cafe du Monde' in New Orleans. You donโ€™t have to go all the way across the Pacific to the US to eat this donut, when you can do so within two hours from Seoul, which is great(!). Pairing it with a warm cup of coffee is like going straight to paradise. Their signature latte, 'Beignet Latte', even comes with a cute donut on the straw.

Geom-eulhyeon Cafe | Yangju

Address: 145-1, Cheongdam-ro, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do
Operating Hours: Tue~Sun 12:00-22:00 (Closed on Mondays)

A newly opened cafe in Yangju with an atmosphere you can't find elsewhere

- Interior
The black & grey themed interior with trendy stone objects catches the eye. The inside is spacious, not feeling cramped at all, and above all, the chairs are very comfortable. However, it is prohibited to occupy seats for a long time for studying or watching videos.

- Taste
The coffee is ordinarily delicious, and the Basque cheesecake I tried was not greasy but pleasantly nutty.

Adding a modern touch to the tranquil beauty of traditional Korean houses, Gyeongseong Bakery Cafe at Namhansanseong is a large bakery cafe located at Namhansanseong. It's one of the spots you'd want to visit when you're around Namhansanseong. The cafe is famous for its second-floor view, and it remains popular, especially in the lush seasons, visited by many. From the entrance, the ambiance is set with bamboo, and one can feel a harmonious blend of traditional Korean architecture and modernity with its spacious parking lot. Most customers dine in, but a significant number also take away, indicating the bakery's appeal even on its own. The interior operates on two floors, with various bakeries and tables on the first floor and floor seating, table seating, and an outdoor terrace on the second floor. The floor seating area on the second floor, resembling a large traditional Korean hall, is perhaps the highlight of its charm. The staff's response was very friendly, and the owner cooperated well with filming, leaving a lasting good impression. For those searching for a bakery hotspot in Namhansanseong or those who appreciate a serene atmosphere, this place might just suit your taste.

Shall we go to the sea? Shall we go to a nearby lake? In summer, the sea is the opposite of the lake. There is Seokchon Lake in Jamsil, but if you are looking for a more natural lake nearby, it is Uiwang's Baegun Lake. There are still duck boats, and there are plenty of restaurants around. But most enjoyable is the view of the lake from the Green Flag Terrace. Interestingly, everyone can sit side by side and watch the scenery of the lake. - Sea vs Lake - Summer space 5 - For me, the sea is a space of 'vigor' and 'madness'. Born in Busan and before moving to Seoul at the age of 20, I often visited the sea regardless of the season. Judging from the memories I experienced at the time, for me, the sea must be a space of 'vigor and madness'. This may be because the summer sea dominates most of the sentiment. When I think carefully about it, the memories of summer are more clear than winter, autumn, and spring. The summer sea I went to with my 7-year-old father, the summer sea with my 8-year-old family, the same goes for the 9-year-old. Every summer, I went to the sea with my family. Gwangalli and Haeundae are the basics, and I experienced various seas such as Ilgwang, Songjeong, Dadaepo, and Byeondae. And if there's one thing that's particularly memorable, it's when I was 17. Summer vacation in my freshman year of high school, I remember the trip to the sea with my school friends. A tireless 17-year-old, he ate Songjeong 'Bull Jjamppong' from the morning and swam in the sea until the afternoon with his friends, who had a stomach ache all afternoon. The night remains 'madness'. - Now it remains with longing. And I'm pretty old now. What I'm talking about is simply body age. Now, I know that it is not easy to work all day. He didn't even have the stamina he used to drink until the sun came up. In summary, the memories of that sea 10 years ago may remain as longing for the future. These days, when I feel exhausted quickly and my recovery is slow, I have found emotional calm. - It is a space full of water like the sea, but it is different. This is a place where there are neither the cool waves nor the elasticity that bursts out intoxicated with their own pleasure. There are only pedestrians enjoying the calm waves, the quiet flapping of the wings of water birds, and the leisurely atmosphere. No one has their shirt off and a tube on their stomach. this is a lake It wasn't long before I got to know the taste of the lake. I like water so much that I think I must have stopped by and enjoyed the taste at least once, but looking back, that's not the case again. In my travels, there were many lakes with the meaning of 'Let's go once because it's a tourist attraction'. Perhaps it was because of the view of the lake that I enjoyed in a space called 'Enhakgore' that I visited a while ago, but I searched for a lake that was closer than the sea that was difficult to reach. - In today's space, you can enjoy the atmosphere of the lake to your heart's content. You can walk along the lake road, or you can overhear the story of a summer day in the shade of the cool, dense summer trees. Moreover, when you get tired of enjoying the lake, you can enjoy a cool drink and delicious dessert in today's space made of wood. - 'Baegun Lake' I used to go to Indeokwon like a house when I was in college, but I never came to this lake at the time. Now that those days have passed, I came here to enjoy the taste of the lake. If you walk along the shore of Baegun Lake, you will see a building with beautiful reddish wood flesh attached to it. Wherever you are, in this scenic space, parking is always well prepared. At the beginning of the space we went back to, a burst of laughter erupted. This place is not only decorated with wood for the exterior. A wooden structure supports the interior. Part of the structure becomes the interior and creates a space, elevating the atmosphere of this place to the extreme. Of course, it is full of people, but the seats where you can see the lake are looking at the lake side by side, probably because everyone came to see the lake. In other places, another pleasant conversation with the sea is heard. From the cool lake breeze on a bright summer day, delicious drinks and desserts, and from a decent space to a lake scene, it is definitely a place to visit again in summer. - It is different from the sea when I was young. So, I want to say that the lake is a space of 'another vitality'. - This is #GreenflagCoffee located at Baegun Lake in Uiwang. - Location _ 404 Baegun-ro, Uiwang-si, Gyeonggi-do - Parking lot - Business hours _ 11:00~23:30 - Menu is attached. - PS. The above space is operating in accordance with the Corona virus quarantine guidelines in the metropolitan area. Please note that there is no inconvenience in using the space.

A wonderful space with views of the Bukhan River, coffee and more... AYU Space, a multi-cultural space that has been the talk of the town even before its opening, welcomes guests starting this month. The interior, designed in a circular structure with a garden left empty in the middle, provides a fresh sense of space just by walking around. The 'Wind Hall', as it is named, is the main area where people can enjoy coffee and conversations. Outside the back door is a wide promenade and a terrace along the Bukhan River, next to which a Hanok stands, soon to be utilized as a gallery displaying various works. Ironically, the combination of a beautiful building and its proximity might not lead one to expect great coffee; however, the quality of brewing coffee here is commendable. Using their own roasted beans, the place boasts a strong lineup of single origins, with options categorized into regular, Plus, and 2Plus to cater to guests' tastes and involvement levels. Note that the regular and Plus grades are brewed by a machine providing stable coffee, whereas 2Plus involves a barista personally brewing each cup. The brewing machine used is from IREA, well-recognized in various places, ensuring quality even in automatic brewing. AYU Space, with its beautiful location, gallery, and scenic views of the Bukhan River, coupled with delicious coffee, is a place worth recommending even though it's located in a vicinity not frequently visited by the author.

Cafe Soom is a new large cafรฉ located near Namhansanseong. It's placed in a quiet village, seemingly becoming a hotspot. The second floor is made of full-length windows, offering a sense of openness and a simple atmosphere that personally fits my taste. They serve bakery products, and the spacious outdoor terrace would be nice to visit in spring. I arrived a bit early before the opening time, asked for permission to take pictures, and was kindly treated by the manager, making for a pleasant morning. I'd like to express my gratitude once again for their consideration during their busy preparations for opening.

The interior operates a main building and an annex, with the main building spanning first to second floors, and the annex connected on the second floor. The annex has a different atmosphere, but personally, I preferred the main building. Both the main and annex buildings have kids zones, making it a good spot for families. Despite Namhansanseong being crowded even on weekdays, there are many weekend visitors. Cafe Soom can be a great choice for a weekend date or a family outing.

๐Ÿ“Beans

-They are using a blend.

๐Ÿ“Coffee

I ordered an Americano, which had a balance of richness and a profound taste rather than flamboyance. I enjoyed the coffee.

๐Ÿ“Music

The music at Cafe Soom is mainly POP. The selection mostly consists of calm tracks, excluding fast-paced ones. Though POP is enjoyable, instrumental jazz or piano pieces without vocals could also complement the simple space. Nowadays, instrumental music is prevalent in large cafes for a reason: it serves as background music without interrupting conversations on busy weekends.

An experience for pedestrians to feel, the clear reason for driving lessons

Among the cafes in Namyangju that are represented by the Bukhan River view.

The wide river stretches to the left and right,
You can enjoy it in four different atmospheres to your taste,

The first floor is filled with plant decor, while
the third floor is a gallery, and the fourth floor is like a campground;
It feels like visiting a new place every time you come because each floor has a totally different impression.

The rooftop may be a bit much for the chilly current season, but
it is expected to be a good point to enjoy the cool breeze of the Bukhan River
with colors and interiors like the European coast.

-

While scanning the cafes in Namyangju,
I found a clear reason for the driving lessons I've been putting off for three years.
A clear reason indeed.

I prefer places where I want to stay for a long time rather than flashy new hotspots. I'd rather capture the various stories that unfold in a space and the tastes of the people who decorated it, over Instagrammable photo zones. Although I may not fit the influencer mold, as always, thank you for being with me. Just like I've always thought. - It might seem too transient for a story, but I'd like to greet you by introducing a cafe in Namyangju that lies on the boundary between flashy places and those where you want to linger longer. A place where you can quietly sit and watch the trajectory of the sun in front of the sprawling Bukhan River. โ•ฑ ๐Ÿ“ Daenerys (Cafe Daenerys) ๐Ÿท 914 Bukhangang-ro, Joan-myeon, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do ๐Ÿ•ฐ Daily 10:00 - 24:00

To the view of the mountains through the window
A place that is much loved.

Partitions covered with marble-patterned tiles keep the eyes in line, and one curved wall adds a sense of sound to the music flowing in the space, allowing you to enjoy good-quality music from any direction.

As the name suggests, the concise and clear plan is impressive so that those who visit these places can concentrate on rest while surrounded by nature, music, and coffee & desserts.

Centrale de Facade, meaning 'Central Front', is located near Central Station. Inspired by the railway station, it features an exterior reminiscent of the central clock tower of a train station, a clean white background of both interior and exterior complemented by wooden furniture expressing coziness, and added sophistication with navy and gold. The sound of horns amidst the music and a pathway connecting the cafeteria and brunch hall bring the excitement of travel and the novelty of daily life. It is recommended to enter through the main entrance rather than the side door; reading the sign and passing through the corridor transcends a simple photo zone, instilling the planning intention and its meaning. The menu includes a nutty milk blending signature latte 'Centrale Latte', juice, scones made with Caputo flour, four types of sablรฉs, sandwiches, pasta, bagels, toast, salad brunch menus, and wine. A starting point and destination of travel, a place where stories intersect. This 'train station' invites you to savor the joy and meaning of travel.

The truce line of life: the end of May
-
Taepyeong-ri, Yeoju, is said to have been a village where scholars who had been on the road in the past took a break from the arduous first steps and studies. The village was named 'Taepyeong-ri' because it is said that this place to rest is peaceful and peaceful. A space located on the highest hill in Taepyeong-ri. It is surrounded by mountains in the back and the view of the village from the front is beautiful. Surrounded by mountains, this place is very quiet and secluded. At the very least, you can hear the rattling of dishes outside.
-
I don't know why I found it as if I was possessed by this land. It's a long journey from home, taking about 3 hours one way, but I wanted to go there for some reason. The first half was very busy. I didn't even know it was May, but it was already over. All the books are lectures. Wasn't it a month in which you spent your days fiercely on the front line of your life? Looking back, he seemed very tired. Wouldn't it be a rest that we instinctively seek in the guidelines?
-
'M'aider' who was shouting at the front of life. Did he unconsciously recognize the name, like in a war movie, shouting 'mayday' for help? This is what I learned when I arrived at this space, but I think about it by comparing it to my situation.
-
Today's space is a place where the context of the land is well understood. In order not to disturb the peaceful and quiet atmosphere of this place, I try to capture the horizontal impression as much as possible. Rather than trying to raise the space vertically by stacking it layer by layer, the building sits down so that one side is long and visually felt, so that a static and quiet sentiment can be felt. If there is something special, there is a place to take orders and a separate room for brunch and drinks. A space that resembles twins. It seems that they are not facing each other straight, only their heads are facing each other at an angle. When you enter the building where you usually order and order drinks and desserts, you can clearly see the scene this space was trying to show. The space, which was obliquely attached to the head, spreads out from the end to capture the beautiful mountain scenery of Taepyeong-ri and the scenery of the village in a wide range. The long lines connecting the eaves of the twin buildings naturally focus on the scene to be shown.
-
The interior space tries to accept the properties of this land as well as possible. The gable roof is raised to provide a cool feeling of openness through the high floor height. Then, it is surrounded by a glass wall so that the mountain view can be fully captured at human eye level. The view of the mountain seen from each window is different. You can see the courtyard and sometimes overlook the village. Those who stand in the yard and look down on the village are enjoying the scene the space is trying to show.
-
Having spent several hours in this quiet land at the same time, I now understand why I came here. On the last day of May, it is a signal of rescue instinctively shouted from the front line in life. From the past, they pursued the 'rest' that this village provided to people. Perhaps this space was not the truce line of my life?

'Abogoga', a large bakery cafe with a motif of an ancient historic site located near the Han River in Gimpo

With its unique exterior, extraordinary scale, and overwhelming design, it is as if you were in an art museum with impressive architectural beauty and a sense of openness that inspires admiration.

Also, when you enter the interior, you can see the Han River view through the large arched window from any seat.
When I went up to the second floor and looked down, the view was even nicer.

There is a small gallery in one corner of the space, so it was fun to drink coffee and look at the works.

It is a space that helps you recharge while taking a break with coffee. If you come to Gimpo to play, I hope you will drop by by all means :)

The Forest, a cafe that felt like you were in a quiet farmhouse village in Europe. It was also nice to have a terrace seat like a resort where the eyes and mind can be refreshed with the fresh trees and flowers.
