Right in front of Apgujeong Station, 'Lee Sok Woo Hwa' is notoriously difficult to book. Fortunately, I was able to experience it as a room course for a company dinner. The room course differs from the standard course. It includes an 8-course meal featuring various dishes made with Hanwoo (Korean beef), such as tartare, sukiyaki, grilled items, and gyukatsu. The magnificent marbling and the rich, rosy hue of the beef elicited gasps of admiration all day. The impressive variety of visually stunning dishes makes it impossible not to take photos. Watching the chef skillfully trim an incredibly large prime rib right before our eyes, the portion seemed never to diminish, offering unbeatable value for money. The final stew and rice pot were also highlights. Special thanks to the chef in charge for preparing such a wonderful meal and providing service with both sense and wit.

Saab Seoul @sav.seoul
Reminiscent of the basement of a winery somewhere in France or Italy, this is a wine bar of Wine Country, a wine distributor.
The direction is clear. To present the wine experience in as many ways as possible. To this end, we have composed space themes that can be divided into three categories: classic, modern, and private, including dining and wine exhibition space.
The decisive device is the price of wine by the glass, starting at 4,000 won, and planting a container (?) to taste a variety of wines without hesitation. Each of the prepared food menus are very delicious, as if they put as much emphasis on wine, so there is reason to visit in any way.
Here, if you walk in front of the Hyundai Department Store Apgujeong branch that exudes a Christmas atmosphere, it seems like a plausible course.

Yoo's Barbecue Lab

Namyeong-dong_Yoo Yong-wook Barbecue Lab
"Yongwook Yoo Barbecue Lab" has become a symbol of Namyeong-dong.
As a restaurant boasting the extreme difficulty of reservation, I have been waiting for this day for several months. A private barbecue show is held in a secret space operated as a room.
With the explanation of Director Yoo Yong-wook, the course consists of food using various smoking techniques. Thank you for kindly explaining the food and serving it, it was a really satisfying meal :)
In particular, 'Signature Beef Rib' by 'Yongwook Yoo's Barbecue Research Institute' has become a new dining experience by adding not only the overwhelming visual and taste, but also excellent directing power.
L’Amant Secret
Lamant Secret🍽
La Mant Secret, perhaps the most romantic dining in Seoul.
It is also a place where you can taste the contemporary cuisine of Chef Son Jong-won, who used to be a famous Michelin restaurant in San Francisco.
It is a place where presentations are the most important thing in Seoul, and it is also a space that serves up really beautiful dishes.
It is a karma with a strong overall impact that can be felt in the mouth as the harmony of ingredients is so heavy that you can feel the delicate sense of Chef Son Jong-won, not just the visuals.
An attractive Lamant Secret with service to match the food.
You will be amazed at the comfortable service of Captain Inah, who was in London and San Francisco, and the excellent wine choice and handling of Eunhye Choi, sommelier.
For me, La Mant is the first place to go if you are visiting with your lover.
That's because I'm sure it's a space where you can make happy memories with your loved ones :)
thank you for reading.
L'Impression
One of the best discoveries of this year is Impression. Currently led by Chef Yoon Tae-kyun, Impression has completely succeeded in its renovation, leaving no trace of its past glory. Impression's unique modern space and the exceptional character of sommelier Yannis contribute to its original excellence, but what is more memorable is the course composed of Chef Yoon Tae-kyun's incredible creativity and noticeable sense. The combination and taste expression of completely different ingredients based on Chef's experience are Impression's tremendous originality, which cannot be found anywhere else in Seoul. The style is different, but the way it's interestingly presented feels close to the fresh newness experienced in Nordic cuisine before. Due to such skills, it is cautiously predicted that there might be good news in the guide to be announced soon. The impact of the early days of Impression 2.0 is memorable enough to look forward to what lies ahead even more. I am thankful for the meal. 🙏🏻
Restaurant Allen
Allen🍽
The new nest of Chef SeoHyunmin, who was the executive chef at Impression (formerly Michelline 2star). The cuisine SeoHyunmin chef presents in Allen is modern French based on fermentation and aging of Korean cuisine.
He polished French cuisine with experience overseas as a chef at Eleven Madison Park (New York's 3-star restaurant) and it is deeply infused with Korean ingredients such as doenjang, rice nuruk, and Korean vegetables.
Personally, the cooking style has not changed significantly from when he was at Impression, but the high level of completion that has improved noticeably than the previous visits stood out.
Perhaps it was because his understanding of the ingredients had improved?
Allen has become a place where you can experience really fine dishes without any gaps in taste, like an alchemist combining ingredients.
In addition to the food, I think it's a neat and elegant dining room that can be counted in Seoul.
How about having a meal at Allen shortly to leave unforgettable memories with your lover or for an important meal?
Thanks to you, I ate well.

“The undying popularity, the waiting triangle”
The popularity of this place, which caused the preferential ribs boom, still hasn't cooled down.
There was a line from 9 in the morning even though it was open from 12 noon.
Even if you arrive a little late, the admission time will be delayed until 2-3pm.
The beef ribs and pork belly are not bad, but
I honestly don't know if this dining experience is revived by the hard work of waiting for three hours.
It may be individual differences
Most of the places I've been to called 'I'm a restaurant' only give me disappointment.
It seems that most go for a sense of accomplishment rather than taste.
Fortunately, from February 7th, there is a reservation system.
Online reservation is possible 'weekdays only',
As it is the starting point of the popular beef ribs, there is still reason to stop by.

Buvette
Bu:vet is a French gastrotek located near Apgujeong Station. It is a space that combines the elements of a restaurant, bar, and cafe, making it the 6th store in Seoul following New York, London, Paris, Tokyo, and Mexico City since 2011. The allure comes from being able to enjoy a fusion of French and American dishes, coffee, and wine cocktails all day. Personally, I could feel a somewhat old-fashioned vibe from Bu:vet as someone who doesn't know much about it. This mood could be a more significant preference for someone. The recent weather, having arrived at the end of summer, feels fairly cool. Bu:vet Seoul would be quite a good choice if you want to enjoy brunch on a leisurely outdoor terrace. It would be good to make a reservation. The music at Bu:vet is jazz-based, filled with swing, standard jazz, and a variety of jazz styles. The old-fashioned feeling mentioned earlier harmonizes well with the jazz music. Jazz can convey both luxury and a vintage feel. Depending on the choice of jazz style, Bu:vet's music seems to be making a pretty accurate choice.
Onjium
Onjieum Taste Workshop strives to bring out our unique culinary culture that goes beyond simply delicious food.
For this purpose, it is based on historical data or recipes passed down from generation to generation, so it seems somewhat familiar, but each dish is truly extraordinary.
Perhaps because of this special sense of purpose, the experience here felt more like being invited to a famous Jonggat house rather than modern fine dining.
If the ginkgo leaves filling the outside of the window will soon begin to dye, it will be the most luxurious place to enjoy the autumn leaves.
Eatanic Garden, Josun Palace
The Itanic Garden, having embraced new changes under Chef Son Jong-won's 'Modern Korean Food', displays an array of beautifully executed dishes that reflect the chef's meticulous attention to detail and diverse considerations in design. Each dish, reflecting meticulous care and Chef Son's personality, harmonizes wonderfully with the theme of Itanic Garden, especially highlighted by his love for Marché. The Spring herb dish, stacking abalone and beef much like a mille-feuille, brings into question whether there can be a higher standard of beef main in Korea. The seamless course progression, the delivery of an experience meant as a gift to guests, and a comprehensive perspective on the pursuit of taste in food make Itanic Garden a rare find in Seoul. The curiosity about how foreign foodies will view the modernization of Korean cuisine by Itanic is particularly interesting. The chef's hope to continue delighting many guests with such fun dish compositions is well-received with great thanks.
